Q: Is it true your parents came here from Poland over 30 years ago and you grew up in one of the most dangerous city in 'Merica?
A: Yup.
Q: Did you enjoy going getting your Bachelors degree at the School of Visual Arts and all the sleepless nights that came along with it?
A: Something like that, it paid off immensely. There's a special place in my heart for the school.
Q: Does anyone pay you to come up with ideas now?
A: Well it seems I've been getting pay-checks from a company called VaynerMedia, so I'd say.. yah?
Q: Are you happy with what you've accomplished so far in your career?
A: Things have been great, I've created integrated campaigns, one of which led to a top 10 billboard song, a feature documentary on Netflix, among other things for a wide breath of global clients and non-profits. I've managed to pick up a nice amount of metal, plastic, and wood in advertising and design, and the press along with it.
Q: What do you do when you're not in the office?
A: I've always been proactive when it comes to other opportunities, I've designed a few products and poster series. I'm also teaching a class called Buzzworthy Content at the School of Visual Arts- now in it's 5th year. I also eat pumpkin brownies. A lot of um.
Q: Do you have a favorite food?
A: Yes.
Q: What are you currently up to?
A: After spending 6 years in the advertising agency setting at BBDO, one year at start-up Zocdoc, Iβve now spent over 2 years at VaynerMedia. I've picked up on a lot of insights and inner workings of both start-up brand, creative agency, and media agency learnings I'll take with with me wherever I may go next.
Q: Why did you to do this in Q&A format?
A: Writing in third-person is awkward.
Q: Anything else we should know?
A: I enjoy geeking out about A.I. & how it intersects with creativity, the future of disruptive and stale brands, coffee, cocktails and candles. *sniff*
I've had the pleasure to work on a range of brands, from small local non-profits and artists with 1 person to Fortune 10 global companies that includes the worlds largest employer.
